Community Arts Classes provide people of all ages and all abilities with the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of art forms. Our Community Arts Classes are led by our professional teaching artists, who guide students through the art-making process.

Now enrolling for fall classes! The next session begins August 14th and runs until October 4th.

The second fall session will begin the week of October 23rd and ends on December 13th.

We offer three different types of classes.

Exploratory classes are for artists of all ages. With a guided lesson plan, students explore specific techniques in a variety of art forms to further their artistic abilities. Exploratory classes are offered in 2D visual art (painting, drawing, collage). Mondays with Bella from 4-5 pm, students focus on mixed media art while learning about artists’ styles. Wednesdays with Chris from 4-5 pm, students explore mixed media. An exploratory clay class is offered on Mondays from 4-5 pm with Christy. An exploratory ukulele class is offered on Tuesdays from 4-5 pm with Meghan.

Open studio classes are for clay artists of all ages who have attended ArtMix classes in the past. These classes provide freedom of choice for students, who are mentored by three professional teaching artists. The class has very limited spaces and students should contact us to enroll directly. Open studio classes are offered on Tuesdays with Christy, Chad, and David from 4:00 -5:30 pm.

Our dedicated class is for artists looking for less guidance. Working with teaching artists, students have the freedom to create individualized works of art. The dedicated class is offered on Wednesdays with David from 4-5 pm. Please reach out to see if this is the best class for you in advance.
